Today, Wednesday, the new Iraqi ambassador to Moscow, Qahtan Taha Khalaf Al-Janabi, began his duties.
Al-Janabi was born in Baghdad in 1965, and he worked as an advisor in the Iraqi government for the period 2006-2009. And an ambassador in the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2009.
Then he held the position of Ambassador of Iraq to Sri Lanka for the period 2010-2014, non-resident ambassador of Iraq to the Maldives for the period 2011-2014, ambassador of Iraq to Bulgaria 2015-2017, and ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2018-2021.
He also served as Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations for the period 2020-2023.
