The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sharif Suleiman, confirmed that the Ministry of Finance will overcome the fluctuation in international oil prices when determining the price of a barrel of oil in the budget.
Suleiman said in a press interview seen by “Takadam” that “the fluctuation of global oil prices and their instability is one of the factors and obstacles in front of the budget, as it should be taken into account before proceeding with the budget.”
He added, "There is a possibility to benefit from the oil-producing countries neighboring Iraq in order to determine the price of oil in the budget, especially since Iraq's oil is measured on the price of Brent crude and other oils in countries close to Iraq."
And that "there is a great fluctuation in crude prices, and Iraqi experts can deal with prices and the changes taking place, and it is expected that the Ministry of Finance will overcome this fluctuation in the next stage in determining the price of a barrel of oil in the budget."
