Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi stressed the need for parliamentary committees to take their actual role in order to expedite the procedures for enacting laws.
The media department of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the National News Center, that “Al-Halbousi stressed, at the beginning of today’s session, the need for parliamentary committees to take their actual role in order to expedite the procedures for legislating the laws that they owe.”
Earlier in the day, the House of Representatives adjourned its session until further notice.
