The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, set tomorrow, Sunday, a date for electing the heads of parliamentary committees and their deputies, while directing to submit a letter of thanks to the Prime Minister and the government staff.

A statement by the council's media department, reported to Alsumaria News, stated, "Al-Halbousi has set tomorrow, Sunday, as the date for the parliamentary committees to start electing their heads and deputies."

On the other hand, Al-Halbousi indicated, "The House of Representatives presented a letter of thanks to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister, the government staff, the Governor of Basra and the President of the Football Association for their distinguished role in preparing for the Arab Gulf Football Championship that was held in Basra Governorate and for their efforts in making it a remarkable success." Reflecting an honorable and positive image of Iraq.

Earlier in the day, the House of Representatives adjourned its session No. (3) of the second legislative year/first legislative term, which was held in the presence of 199 deputies.
