Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Electricity confirmed that the amount of Iranian gas pumped is limited, while indicating that it needs 30 million cubic meters per day to feed its production stations.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, said in an interview with Shafaq News agency, "After completing the maintenance work of the gas pipeline on the Iranian side for a period of 12 days, the Iranian side has pumped gas again since last Tuesday morning, between 7 to 10 million cubic meters per day," noting that "This percentage is not enough to operate the production plants and does not fill the need."

Moses added; This small amount negatively affected the supply hours, but in general, the electricity supply process is currently better than it was a few days ago, as the re-pumping of gas at the current rates contributed to the operation of part of the Basmaya station and its entry into operation by 2300 megawatts after it was completely stopped as a result of the interruption. The supplied gas is in the state of maintenance.
Musa stressed that "what we need of gas is in the range of 25 to 30 million cubic meters per day to operate our electrical production stations," pointing out that "the visit of the Minister of Electricity to Iran included an initial agreement to resume pumping the current gas and to increase the increase in gas releases in total during the coming period."
On January 29, the Ministry of Electricity announced that the supply of the supplied gas was completely stopped for a period of (12 days) to the production stations for the purposes of maintenance of gas transmission pipelines, according to the Iranian side, indicating that this caused a loss of 7,500 megawatts from the system in Baghdad, the central regions, and the middle Euphrates.
