Iraqis maintain their rank among the people who buy the most real estate in Turkey

Shafaq News/ The Turkish Statistics Authority announced, on Friday, that the Iraqis ranked third among the people who bought real estate in Turkey during the month of January.
The authority said, in a report seen by Shafaq News agency, that "home sales in Turkey to foreigners decreased by 0.6% in January of the year 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year, and it became 4,161 homes. Antalya ranked first with 1,592 homes, and came Istanbul ranks second with sales of 1,380 homes, then Mersin with 331 homes.
She pointed out that "the Russians topped the rest of the countries in buying the most real estate in Turkey during January, with a number of 1,557 houses, and the Iranians came in second place, with 526 houses, the Iraqis third, with 229 houses, Ukraine fourth, with 157 houses, and Kazakhstan fifth, with 155 houses." ".
Iraqis have topped the list of home purchases in Turkey since 2015, but they retreated to second place after Iran at the beginning of 2021, before falling back to third place since April 2022 after Russian domination of Turkish real estate.
