    On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Imad Al-Alaq, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, revealed meetings in Washington, "Al-Jada", to invest in associated gas.

    In the joint statement issued by the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and American governments, it was stated that the American and Iraqi delegations affirmed the convergence of views that pursuing an ambitious agenda for energy independence is necessary to achieve maximum economic prosperity for Iraq and protect its sovereignty, and they also decided to accelerate efforts to capture the burning gas, modernize the infrastructure, and connect the region to the electricity network.
