    The Royal Institute of International Affairs in London hosted today the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, and his accompanying delegation, as they talked about the challenges and priorities of cultural and civilizational heritage in Iraq.
    While Dr. Hartwig Fisher, Director of the British Museum, expressed his willingness to train Iraqi cadres in the fields of excavation and maintenance of Iraq's treasures. It was also agreed to continue archaeological exploration in various locations in Iraq. An understanding was reached to arrange the return of six thousand Iraqi artifacts that were loaned for research. Britain a hundred years ago.[/size]

    [size=45]He stressed that his ministry has begun to develop new strategies and priorities to ensure its efficient performance, based on an objective review and evaluation of the ministry's performance and its previous priorities. He mentioned that there are plans for culture, tourism, antiquities, and higher specialized councils that have been established to benefit from the expertise possessed by the ministry and from other entities.[/size]
    [size=45]Pointing out that the Iraqi government is working with friendly countries to return stolen and smuggled antiquities that arrive illegally to those countries. His visit to the United Kingdom is part of efforts to recover more than 6,000 artifacts that were taken a hundred years ago for study.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Dr. spoke. Laith Majeed, Director of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, on the Ministry's efforts in the maintenance and restoration of archaeological sites that were destroyed by ISIS and other sites that the Ministry is working with exceptional efforts to return to the World Heritage List after it was placed on the list of danger.
