    US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken affirmed, during his meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, today, Saturday, the US government's appreciation of Iraq's regional role in stabilizing stability.
    A statement from Al-Sudani’s office stated that the latter “received at his residence this morning, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, on the sidelines of his participation in the 59th Munich Security Conference.”
    The statement added, "The meeting witnessed discussions on the files of bilateral relations, and ways to strengthen and develop them at various levels and fields, in a way that enhances Iraq's ability to face economic challenges and development requirements."
    Al-Sudani stressed, “Iraq gives special priority to economic reforms, the government’s focus on developing the energy sector, and establishing development and investment partnerships in the gas sector.”
    He pointed out, “Iraq’s desire to consolidate cooperation with the United States to combat terrorism, within the framework of providing training, advice and information exchange for the Iraqi security forces, in a way that preserves Iraq’s sovereignty and independence,” stressing that “the government puts the goal of establishing balanced relations at the forefront, in addition to the importance of the Iraqi role.” in stabilizing the region.
    For his part, Blinken praised "the Iraqi government's plans for reform and development, and for giving the energy sector a priority in work and development."
    He affirmed, "The US government's appreciation of Iraq's regional role in stabilizing stability," reiterating "support for the Iraqi government in its progressive, reform and development plans in various fields and fields."
