    Today, Saturday, the government spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, confirmed that the housing file is a fundamental pillar of the prime minister's interests.

    Al-Awadi said in a statement to the official agency, followed by "NAS", (February 18, 2023), that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani has placed the housing file as one of the main pillars of his interests," pointing out that "in this file there is a set of priorities that need solutions." unilaterally, and then move on to other addresses, successively.  
      
    He added, "Based on this articulation in focusing on priorities in the housing crisis, the government set its sights on resolving the crisis of the sex of agricultural land and its ownership, given that this issue has implications beyond mere housing, and represents the basis of the housing crisis and the disturbing concern that strikes at the core (the middle class). Iraq, which represents the pillar of the growth and stability of the country.  
      
    He continued, "It is necessary to resolve the issue of the gender of agricultural lands with residential, political, developmental and security dimensions, as a pioneering first step, and then other basic steps will follow on the road to resolving the national housing crisis."
