Government Wasit: We need to 200 thousand units to solve the housing crisis

     Wasit / Jabbar Bjay

Local government and Wasit revealed the need for the province to more than 200 thousand housing units to meet the current housing crisis and overcome Akbadtha and the legacy of the serious implications for the urban centers in the province, and while stressed that investment in the housing sector is the best, but she promised him "without ambition."
The engineer said Adel Hamza al- Hamidi, the first deputy governor of Wasit province, in his speech (range) that "in light of population growth and splitting families and increasing encroachment of rural people to the cities and breadth of the phenomenon of slums, the conservative need at present to more than 200 thousand units to avoid the shortfall in housing. "
He said Hamidi " There is no doubt there is a big crisis in the housing because of the splitting of families and population growth, but this crisis has become clearly visible and was one of the negative consequences of the large number of random construction and overtaking on a lot of the public areas are incontinent and randomly led to tarnish the image of the city and make it in the event of weird."
And Zkralnaib first governor of Wasit province, that " the current housing crisis have not worked with solutions and treatments prosthetic at the present time so we call upon all companies and venture capitalists to invest in the residential sector being the best sectors and the existence of an urgent need to expand in this sector," he said . " So far, the signs of investment in this sector is still very weak, and below the level of ambition. "
Hamidi He noted that " the local government representative, executive and legislative, she had held discussions on successive periods with a specialized international company building and construction with a view to the possibility of investing in the residential sector and the establishment of residential units of the vertical and horizontal types, but all of those talks , nothing has come of them on the ground which indicates that investment in the residential sector is still below the level of ambition or almost non - existent. "
He called the deputy governor of Wasit , " the federal government to expand the process of granting loans by government banks and increase the size of those loans to citizens who want to build housing units with a reduced loan payments to two batches instead of three installments, to pay citizens rapid direction to proceed with the implementation of their homes."
He revealed the deputy governor for "the existence of several residential complexes that were referred to local contractors companies in most cities of the province and being implemented by the Ministry of Construction and Housing earlier, but these complexes stopped because of the financial crisis, including the compounds in Essaouira and Azizia and Aldboni and Zurbatiyah and NUMANIYA in other areas."
He Hamidi in his speech (range), referring to "the presence of quite a few complexes that have been forwarded by the local government on the grounds that the houses for the poor, but also stalled due to lack of funds."
For his part, Ahmad Saadoun, an expert in urban planning, said that " the housing crisis pushed many citizens, especially the very low income earners to resort to build slums in the absence of the case of prevention or deterrence, which has encouraged this phenomenon even become slums picture of the state of backwardness and ignorance symbolic, and led to distort the cities landmarks indescribably. "
He said Saadoun, told the (range), that "this case reflected negatively on the level of services provided to citizens and increased the pressure on the performance of the service departments at a time when those departments suffer from paralysis as a result of the lack of resources for the implementation of various business service funds , " and urged the government to "asylum to fair options to eliminate this phenomenon through the distribution of residential plots of land and the granting of loans , but according to the guidelines and procedures for fair. "
Expert in urban planning promised to "silence the growing indiscriminate construction phenomenon as the killing of the spirit of the city and its beauty and murder for the advancement of civilization they reflect a state of chaos like no other, and this case is expanding and increasing in the absence of accountability and deterrence for offenders."
The Wasit province had experienced after the 2003 completion of two blocks in Kut and the neighborhood carried out by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and a total of some 1,300 housing units while there are still several complexes stopped working but barely these complexes with a total residential units that do not exceed five thousand housing units in each status of the dam even a small portion of the housing crisis in the province.
