    The House of Representatives finished the first reading of the draft law on Iraq's accession to a protocol on ship pollution.
    And the media department of the Council stated in a statement that "the House of Representatives finished the first reading of the draft law on Iraq's accession to the 1997 Protocol to amend the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships 1973 in its amended version of the 1987 Protocol related to it."
    The House of Representatives had held its session under the chairmanship of Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi and the presence of 172 deputies.
