MP Mudar Al-Karawi confirmed, on Saturday, that the Minister of Electricity will visit Diyala to discuss 5 vital files.
Al-Karawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The Minister of Electricity will visit Baquba today to hold a series of expanded meetings with its deputies and the local government to discuss 5 vital files, most notably strengthening the energy system and launching a series of important projects to remove bottlenecks, in addition to supporting the ministry's departments in preparation for the next summer season."
He added, "Diyala is in dire need of strategic projects for the sustainability of electric power in terms of providing it with mobile transformers to reduce loads at peak hours and increase the supply of raw materials, pointing out that the minister will launch an important road map in his upcoming visit."
He pointed out, "The liberated areas will be on the agenda of the Minister of Electricity, and we hope to increase subsidies by more than 20% during 2023."
The electricity system in Diyala suffers from major problems in the supply file, technical faults and overloads. End 25 F
