    Information/translation...
The former commander of US forces in Iraq and Director of Central Intelligence, General David Petraeus, claimed in a "failed" justification that if the United States had not invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, another country would have done so, and he did not clarify who that country was.
And the American network (Media ITI) quoted in an interview with Petraeus, translated by the information agency, as saying that "the decades he spent in Afghanistan and Iraq" dampened the enthusiasm "among the population for similar military actions and state-building, But the broadcaster interrupted him by saying that the United States does not raise its foot. About the throttle when the Pentagon budget keeps increasing?
Petraeus added, "The issue of increasing the Pentagon's budget is not related to Iraq and Afghanistan. It is because of the return of great power competition and the need to change the force."
And he stated that "arms manufacturing companies are still dominant over the decisions of the Pentagon, and that despite the disasters of the invasion and defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan for 20 years, these companies are still receiving huge amounts of money after all these results. "
Petraeus argued that in many cases if the United States does not act, someone else will. He even said that Afghanistan today could still be "run" by the United States, suggesting that the country might be better off under occupation again.
The announcer pointed out that "the damage that occurred to the American soldiers as a result of the waste burning pits did not only harm the forces, but also the countries that the United States invaded. Those toxic chemicals are present in the soil, air, and in the genes of those peoples. The United States does not care at all about the practices committed by its forces in the Middle East." . End/25 zd
