General Electric: Our agreement with Electricity provides periodic maintenance

General Electric Executive Director Rashid Al-Janabi said that the recently concluded agreement with the Iraqi government will secure periodic maintenance for the summer season and during peak demand, in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity.
Al-Janabi added to "Al-Sabah" that "the agreement contains several important aspects for the production, transmission and security of energy in Iraq, including periodic and long-term maintenance, which is of paramount importance to ensure the sustainability of the unit's productivity with the highest possible efficiency, especially at peak times," noting that "what permeates the agreement is the sustainability of Funding is a major pillar that has supported the maintenance of production units in the past five years. And Al-Janabi indicated that "the agreement includes securing maintenance for the peak demand season next summer, which requires diligent work by the company through its staff in cooperation with their counterparts in the Ministry of Electricity to ensure the productivity and reliability of all power production units from General Electric for this summer."
He expressed his hope that the agreement with the Ministry of Electricity would soon be signed, which includes long-term maintenance and careful scheduling to secure the productivity of the units, in addition to giving General Electric an opportunity to invest in developing the production units currently in Iraq, which are estimated at more than 240 turbine units of the company's technology. All over the country, including the provinces of the Kurdistan Region.
