    {Politics: Al Furat News} Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, stressed the need to strictly implement the provisions of the security agreement between the two countries to reduce terrorist threats.
    Shamkhani met the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, at the beginning of his visit to the capital, Baghdad, which he arrived on Sunday morning.
    The two sides discussed "bilateral relations and means of developing them."
    Referring to the joint efforts between the two countries during the past months to prepare and finalize a comprehensive security agreement that guarantees stability and improvement of the security situation on the borders of the two countries, Shamkhani said: It will contribute to providing the foundations for the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries in the political, economic and security dimensions, to a greater extent than before.

    The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council promised, "The anti-security and evil movements carried out by counter-revolutionary agents and terrorists in the northern region of Iraq, is another component of insecurity in the region, and stressed the need for strict implementation of the security agreement between the two countries, which can stop fully condemn the evil actions of these groups, and stress the need to end this file.
    He appreciated the effective role of the Iraqi government and its continuous assistance in reaching the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and Shamkhani said: “Certainly, the countries of the region can solve common problems and crises without external interference in light of bilateral and multilateral dialogue and cooperation.”
    While Al-Araji welcomed Shamkhani's visit, he said: "There is no doubt that the agreement between the two countries to remove the security challenges imposed on Iranian-Iraqi relations serves the interests of the two friendly and brotherly countries."
    He indicated that Baghdad will do its best to fully implement this agreement and will not allow any group or country to use Iraqi lands to create insecurity in Iran.
    Al-Araji congratulated Shamkhani on reaching a very important agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to resume bilateral relations, and added: “As in the past, the Iraqi government is helping to achieve the agreements reached between Tehran and Riyadh as soon as possible which will benefit both countries and increase stability and will seek security in The area is ready.
    Al-Araji also committed the Iraqi government to implementing the House of Representatives law regarding the withdrawal of foreign military forces, adding: The relevant institutions in Iraq are carefully following the implementation of this decision and have implemented an important part of it so far.
    The Iraqi National Security Adviser said: Given the severe damage caused by insecurity in the past years to Iraq and the region, joint efforts must be made to remove the causes of the formation of renewed insecurity, to develop cooperation in the economic, commercial and industrial fields.
