Today, Friday, the oil expert in Kurdistan, Kovind Sherwani, revealed the financial losses suffered by the region as a result of stopping oil exports for about 10 days.
Sherwani said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "on every comment day, the region's loss was about 35 million dollars, and therefore more than 300 million dollars is the total loss."
He added, "These losses will certainly affect the region's monthly budget and the process of distributing and disbursing employee salaries and other projects."
International reports revealed the continued suspension of oil exports from northern Iraq through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, despite the agreement of Baghdad and Erbil to resume exports, as Turkey is still stopping exports until the issue of international arbitration is fully resolved.
