Earth News/ The President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation to confront economic conditions and environmental changes.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by Earth News, said, "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, at the Baghdad Palace, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, Alina Romanowski."
Rashid clarified, during the meeting, "the friendly relations between the two countries in a way that serves common interests and helps ease tensions in the region through dialogue," expressing his appreciation for "the United States' continued support for Iraq in various fields."
He stressed "the importance of expanding the horizons of joint cooperation to confront the economic conditions and environmental and climatic changes, of which Iraq is the country most affected."
For her part, the US ambassador renewed "her country's support for the stability of Iraq," stressing "the continuation of providing the necessary assistance to the Iraqis within the framework of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries."
