The popular movement for the Belt and Road on Thursday called on the government and the judiciary to prosecute Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi after a series of scandals and his involvement in buying and selling real estate at an imaginary financial value.
The head of the movement, Hussein Ali Al-Karawi, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, "Al-Halbousi benefited from corruption by buying expensive real estate, in addition to participating in disrupting the Belt and Road Agreement."

He added, "The Speaker of Parliament is involved in many charges, including the sale of lands in Anbar by parties close to him, noting that" Al-Halbousi condones the rampant corruption in Anbar, as he is a beneficiary of corruption operations
