Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, filed a judicial complaint before the third Karkh Investigation Court against the politician, Haider al-Mulla, on charges of insulting al-Hablous.
According to the text of the complaint, the representative of the Speaker of Parliament accused Al-Mulla of forging an official editor and using it in an offensive tweet to his client on the "Twitter" application on April 20, and that the tweet included an insult to his client.
According to the complaint, these acts represent a group of full-fledged crimes, represented by insulting the Speaker of the House of Representatives through a public media outlet, which applies to Articles (226) and (1/433) of the Iraqi Penal Code No. 11 of 1969, and the crime of editing and using a “fake” editor. The provisions of Articles (295) and (298) of the same law apply to him.
Al-Halbousi's client requested that a complaint be filed against the defendant (Haider Al-Mulla) for the aforementioned crimes and hold him responsible.
Al-Mulla had published a document on “Twitter” in which he claimed that Al-Halbousi owned a private plane that he would take on his trips, in addition to the opulence of millions with the aim of highlighting his authority, calling on the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani, and the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, to investigate the source of those funds that the Speaker of Parliament spends.
