    The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, confirmed that the committee will continue its meetings throughout the week until the budget is ripe and its matter is resolved.

    The media office of Al-Atwani said in a statement, “The Parliamentary Finance Committee, after the end of the Eid holiday, held a meeting chaired by Atwan Al-Atwani, marking the resumption of discussion sessions and amending the country’s general budget, as it was decided that the committee’s meetings would be on a daily basis throughout the week except for Friday in order to ripen the budget and amendment law.” According to the powers granted by the constitution, in addition to preparing a special schedule for hosting ministers and executive officials to view the allocations for government institutions and their needs in a way that contributes to enabling them to perform their mission in serving citizens and implementing the government program.

    He added, "We renew our support for the government within the framework of implementing its government program, and we look forward to having a real investment program capable of achieving sustainable development." He stressed the need for the government to attach

    utmost importance to the file of developing and supporting the private sector in order to absorb unemployment and provide job opportunities for graduates, qualified and middle cadres. Stressing the importance of adopting a program to establish productive investment projects to enhance non-oil revenues and avoid adopting oil as the main financier of the budget.
