    Today, Monday, the advisor to the Prime Minister, Hamoudi al-Lami, revealed the economic gains from the Nibras petrochemical industries project, which he said included the provision of 50,000 job opportunities, while noting that Iraq possesses the first sulfur reserves in the world and the second in phosphate rocks.
    Al-Lami said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency, "There are serious steps from the government to advance the strategic industries sector, as implementation has actually begun with the implementation of the Nibras project," pointing out, "The Prime Minister is following up the industries file personally."
    He added, "The Ministries of Industry, Minerals, and Oil, in cooperation with Shell, are proceeding with vigorous steps to advance this project, which has stalled over the past years," noting, "This project will create more than 50,000 job opportunities in Basra Governorate directly and indirectly multiply these opportunities." directly, which will be the main factor in absorbing unemployment.
    He continued, "The project will generate large revenues for the country, in addition to operating tens of thousands of factories whose inputs depend on the materials produced in this project, which are high-density and low-density granules and other petrochemical products."
    He pointed out, "There is a government trend in fertilizer projects, as Iraq possesses natural gas for the raw material for the fertilizer industry, and there are projects to reproduce phosphate fertilizers." Sulfur more than 900 million tons.
