    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -Russia condemned killing the Syrian soldiers in Iraq.
    The spokesperson of the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Aksandar Lokshivishtin, said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “Killing the Syrian soldiers in Iraq assured the expansion of the Syrian crisis to the neighboring countries.”
    “Moscow condemns this criminal action in the Iraqi territories which resulted in killing 48 Syrian and 9 Iraqi soldiers in addition to injuring some others from both sides,” he added.
    “We warned from the expansion of the Syrian crisis to the neighboring countries which threaten the security of those countries,” he pointed out, assuring that “The terrorist are free in the border inlets.”
    Earlier, The Iraqi Ministry of Defense declared in statement on Monday night “Nine Iraqi soldiers were killed and few others were injured while 48 Syrian fugitive soldiers were killed and ten others were wounded due to an armed attack that was waged by terrorist groups who sneaked into the Iraqi territory from the Syria.” ”The response will be decisive and severe and we will use all available means against whoever tries to disturb Iraqi borders security,” the statement added. ”Several of the unarmed wounded Syrian soldiers, due to the continued fights in Syria, resorted to Iraq for medical treatment,” the statement continued saying. ”The Syrian wounded soldiers were transported to Waleed border inlet station in order to be delivered through the formal procedures,” according to the statement. ”A terrorist group attacked the Syrian soldiers while they have been transported to Waleed border inlet station,” the statement explained. The Ministry of Defense considered this attack as “An assault against Iraq sovereignty and a violation for Human Rights since the attacked soldiers were wounded and unarmed.” \
