Adviser to the Prime Minister for Transportation Affairs, Nasser Al-Asadi, confirmed, on Saturday, that international companies have submitted offers to participate in the Development Road project.

Proposals, perceptions and questions were raised about the project and the way each country participates in it."
Al-Asadi added, "There was a recommendation that these countries hold meetings at a high level in their countries, and we also received many requests from international companies to participate in the project in terms of financing and construction."
He continued, "The visit of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Iraq was very important and resulted in framework agreements through which joint committees from the two countries will be formed, through which Qatar will choose the projects that will be funded and implemented through development."
He continued, "The participation of representatives of China in the conference responded to the skeptics that it wants to implement a project of its own and confirmed that it welcomes it and that it will be a major part of the development path project. This participation is very important because China has economic capabilities among the highest in the world, and the road will be supportive of it because it will provide A short-cut route for its products to Europe via trains is less timely and costly than the sea or air routes it currently adopts.
