The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities is coordinating with the investment companies implementing the five new residential cities project to prepare their legal and administrative procedures in order to announce their implementation soon.
The ministry's spokesman, Nabil Al-Saffar, said in an interview with the official newspaper, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that the ministry, in the framework of its efforts to create all appropriate conditions for the implementation of the new residential cities project, held an extensive meeting with the investment companies that were entrusted to implement them and all relevant authorities in order to discuss the conditions and procedures related to the process of initiating their construction.
He explained that the cities referred so far are in Baghdad, Holy Karbala, Babel, Anbar and Nineveh, where solid companies with experience in the field of building residential cities and vertical construction were chosen to implement them.
Al-Saffar indicated that these companies submitted a request to the Ministry to extend the period of announcing their selection until the legal and administrative requirements and procedures are prepared, pointing out that the Ministry is coordinating with these companies to prepare all their procedures as quickly as possible in order to start implementation.
He stated that the ministry discussed the criteria for comparison between investors and the amortization of a value ranging between 10-15 percent of the value of housing units in each governorate, in exchange for granting them important investment sites on which projects accompanying these cities will be implemented, in addition to granting them the necessary facilities without any administrative routine.
