Today, Thursday (August 3, 2023), President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed that the government will not rest until all those responsible for the Yazidi genocide are held accountable.
Rashid said in a tweet via the X website (formerly Twitter), that "on the ninth anniversary of the crime of genocide of the Yazidis, we continue to intensify efforts to search for the fate of the hidden women in the basements of ISIS captivity."
The President of the Republic affirmed that "no authority will perpetuate rest, conscience will not rest, and no soul will be reassured unless the criminals of the era are tried, the abducted women are returned, and rights are restored."
He concluded by saying: "Greetings to those who sacrificed in defense of Iraq. Glory and eternity to our martyrs."
