Today, Thursday, the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed the continuation of efforts to search for the fate of the disappeared, and this came during the anniversary of the Yazidi genocide.
The President of the Republic said in a tweet on Twitter: "On the ninth anniversary of the crime of genocide of the Yazidis, we continue to intensify efforts to search for the fate of the disappeared in the basements of ISIS captivity."
He added, "A power will not perpetuate rest, a conscience will not rest, and a soul will not be reassured, unless the criminals of the era are tried, the abducted women are returned, and their rights are restored."
