The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, stressed today, Thursday, the necessity of firmness in enforcing the law and preserving the prestige of the state.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, chaired today a meeting of the leaders of the security services in Maysan Governorate, during his visit to the governorate."
The statement added, "The meeting witnessed a review of the security situation throughout Maysan Governorate, and the security plans prepared to face the security challenges in the governorate, especially with regard to clan conflicts and their repercussions on civil peace in society, and their effects on development efforts and investment in them, as well as discussing plans to combat Drugs and criminal offenses.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed, according to the statement, "the necessity of firmness in enforcing the law and preserving the prestige of the state, and not hesitating to take the necessary measures that would consolidate the rule of law and enhance security and stability in the province."
He stressed, "There is a continuous assessment of the officers and commanders, with regard to the level of security performance in carrying out the tasks and duties assigned to them, referring to" the support of the security services of all kinds, and overcoming obstacles regarding the problems they face in Maysan Governorate.
