Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, in the presence of members of the Council, during which they discussed the latest security developments, the most important challenges, and ways to confront them.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Yahya Rasool, stated in a statement received by Al-Masalla, that the Council hosted the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Electricity and the Technical Committee for Electro-Nuclear Projects, where the investment of electro-electro energy in generating electric power at the national level was discussed, and the construction of a limited nuclear reactor was initiated. For peaceful purposes and the production of clean electric energy that contributes to reducing dependence on other sources of energy such as gas and oil, which will have a positive impact on the stability of electric energy in the long term.
In another axis, the second phase was evaluated and the third phase of the plan to transfer security responsibility from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Interior was initiated, after the success of the first phase, which included the governorates of (Muthanna, Diwaniyah, and Wasit), while the second phase included the governorates of (Najaf Al-Ashraf and Dhi Qar), and from It is hoped that the third phase will include the governorates of (Salah al-Din, Anbar and Nineveh).
The Council also discussed a number of other topics on the agenda.
