    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Water Resources revealed the development of a strategy and broad reforms to implement the water distribution policy system, and what it described as a strict system that aims to preserve water discharges and river storage, it talked about 3 important indicators within the strategy to deal with the water situation.
    The ministry's spokesman, Khaled Shamal, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The ministry has developed a broad strategy and reforms to implement the water distribution policy system, which is a strict and fair system at the same time, as it will preserve the water discharge operations, and not release any discharge from the strategic storage of the river." ".
    He added, "There are three important indicators within the strategy for dealing with the water situation: the first includes working according to a strategy developed by the Water Resources Department that is renewed from time to time to deal with the water situation, while the second indicator includes taking quick and effective measures regarding the negotiating side, which comes with the support of Directly by the Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources.
    He continued, "The third indicator includes work to neutralize and reduce vertical pollutants in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and this issue is difficult to deal with when water revenues decrease."
    At the same time, he pointed out, "There are campaigns being implemented to remove water abuses, whether at the level of governorates, people, or administrative units, as well as lifting abuses of taboos that impede the flow of water," pointing out, "The ministry is carrying out maintenance work." rivers and their associated channels.
    Shamal pointed out that "the ministry is carrying out national campaigns to rationalize and reduce water consumption, in addition to coordinating with national media channels, in order to enhance this aspect, and work to spread a culture of cooperation among all to work on saving water."
    He stressed, "The ministry has a special formation at the level of a general authority for groundwater management, and this authority is concerned with groundwater management, development and investment in all parts of the world, with which cooperation is carried out with strategic storage for future generations."
    And he indicated, "There are many wells, especially in remote areas and areas with rugged water, and these areas are difficult to deliver surface water to."
