    The Ministry of Planning announced today, Tuesday, that the Central Bureau of Statistics recorded a decline in the inflation rate during the month of July, by (0.6%), compared to what it was in the month of June that preceded it.

    The official spokesman for the ministry, [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3330134117/%D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B2%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87%D9%86%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%8A/ar/]Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi[/url], said, in a statement received by [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/133473/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%86%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B2/ar/]Alsumaria News[/url], that "the decrease in the inflation rate in the aforementioned month was affected by the decrease in the prices of the food and non-alcoholic beverages department, by (0.2%)," noting that "the totals of milk, cheese and eggs decreased." Their prices decreased by (1.6%), while the prices of vegetables decreased by (1.5%), oils and fats decreased by (1.6%), while the prices of fish and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by (0.5%) and (0.4%), respectively.



    He added, "The sections of tobacco, clothing and shoes, supplies and equipment, health, transportation, education, restaurants, and miscellaneous goods and services recorded a slight increase in their prices during the month of July, ranging between (0.1%) and (0.6%), with the exception of the housing section. Which recorded an increase by (2.2%), while the prices of the entertainment department decreased by (0.1%).

    Regarding the annual inflation, Al-Hindawi said that it "increased by (3.5%) in July this year compared to what it was in the same month of last year 2022," noting that "the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/850900918/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%87%D8%A7%D8%B2 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B2%D9%8A %D9%84%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%AD%D8%B5%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Central Bureau of Statistics[/url], during the month of June, updated the entire food basket." As well as updating the prices of phones, computers and cars.

    He pointed out that "the sample, which is being followed up in the markets, includes all goods and services and their number is (333) goods and services, and the average monthly expenditure on them is (88%) of the total per capita expenditure," noting that "the number of items within this basket reaches ( 486 items distributed over (12) sections, with an average per capita expenditure on them per month (25) thousand dinars or more.
