MP Ali Saadoun confirmed today, Monday, that the judiciary is continuing its investigations and issuing rulings regarding the theft of the century and the main accused in it (Nour Zuhair), in addition to continuing the investigation into other cases related to the head of the Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun.

Saadoun told Al-Maalouma Agency, "There are serious moves to recover smuggled funds and combat corruption, especially with regard to the theft of the century and the funds seized by Nour Zuhair, which are related to tax deposits."
He added, "Nour Zuhair stole huge sums of money, and the Iraqi judiciary is serious about recovering this money and returning it to the state treasury. The competent authorities are continuing their work to recover all the money and prosecute the thief so that he receives his just punishment."
He explained that "all the files related to Nour Zuhair have been placed on the judiciary's table, including the case of the head of the Integrity Commission and the leaked audio recording, as the House of Representatives moved to host the Integrity Commission to find out some details and know the facts, although the judiciary continues to investigate the case of the theft of the century and integrity."
