    The Prime Minister of Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani, confirmed today, Monday, that since the beginning of the formation of the Kurdistan Government (the ninth formation of the government), we have paid great attention to strengthening the banking system and small and medium-sized companies in Kurdistan, pointing out that this is to ensure a suitable work environment and develop our economic plans.
    Barzani said during the opening speech of the “Izdihar” project, which provides loans to small and medium-sized businesses in Erbil, followed by “Al-Iqtisad News”: “Today is historic for us. It is the anniversary of the victory of the will of the Kurdish people over the injustice to which they were exposed, and the effects of which, unfortunately, continue until To this day, there are still some mentalities from politicians and parties who believe that the Kurdish people should be punished simply for expressing their desire to obtain a right, a right that all nations consider natural for themselves, but which is only forbidden to the people of Kurdistan.
    He added, "The Prosperity Project led by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Government provides loans of up to 150 million dinars to companies and businessmen who wish to expand their businesses. Entrepreneurs can now view loan application instructions through the electronic portal and submit applications."
    He explained, "In the Kurdistan Region, according to studies, small and medium enterprises constitute more than 50 percent of commercial activity in the private sector. At the same time, the lack of access to financing is one of the basic obstacles that prevent business owners from expanding their projects."
    He continued, "Since the beginning of the formation of the Kurdistan government (the ninth government), we have paid great attention to strengthening the banking system and small and medium-sized companies in Kurdistan, in order to ensure a suitable work environment and develop our economic plans."
    He stated, “This is the first time that the Kurdistan government has provided loans to entrepreneurs to expand their businesses through entrepreneurs’ organizations and private banks, and it is also the first time that the strength of companies will be the criterion for obtaining loans without the need for any mortgage, and it is a serious attempt to develop the sector.” private".
