Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed, on Friday, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan unifying positions regarding the dangerous developments in the region.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Vahdettin Palace in the Turkish city of Istanbul."
It added that "the two sides held talks that included reviewing the latest developments in the region, and the growing threat to peace and stability posed by the Zionist entity, with its ongoing aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, and the attacks that have targeted several countries in the region." He explained that
"al-Sudani and President Erdogan discussed unifying positions regarding these dangerous developments, and the challenge they represent, and urged Arab and Islamic countries and international and UN organizations to support efforts and endeavors aimed at a ceasefire, facilitating relief operations and delivering aid to those affected by the aggression, launching reconstruction efforts, and protecting the Palestinian presence on its historical land."
He pointed out that "the meeting witnessed discussions on bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to activate memoranda of understanding and joint agreements in various economic and development fields." End/25[/size]
