Minister of Industry discusses action plan to complete steel plant in Basra and operate it on schedule

[rtl]Basra / NINA / Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm discussed during his visit to the General Company for Iron and Steel the work plan to complete the steel plant and operate it on time.
The Minister also discussed with the Board of Directors and senior staff in the company the procedures for implementing investment projects, as well as following up on the developments of sponge iron production projects and the establishment of an industrial city specialized in the iron and steel industry, which are important investment projects that receive special importance and attention in light of the Ministry's plan to advance strategic industries.
The Minister urged to continue the pace of work to complete the steel plant and proceed with the procedures for implementing investment projects.
In the context of the visit, the Minister held a meeting with the Director General of Ibn Majid General Company and a number of officials in the Ministry and the company to discuss the matters of some executed contracts and the legal procedures surrounding them, in addition to presenting other issues of interest to the company's work. / End
