Shafaq News/ The Administrative Court issued, on Sunday, a judicial order to suspend the decision to dismiss Omar Al-Karwi from the position of Diyala Provincial Council.
According to the decision issued by the court and signed by its president, Counselor Othman Salman Al-Aboudi, dated November 3, the court found that the conditions for issuing the guardianship order were met, and accordingly decided to suspend the implementation of the two decisions that included the dismissal of Al-Karwi from his position.
The advisor decided to suspend the two dismissal decisions until the case of the applicant for the guardianship order is settled.
On October 29, Diyala Provincial Council voted to dismiss its chairman, Omar Al-Karwi, following an emergency interrogation session.
Two days later, the council elected Nizar Al-Lahibi as the new president, succeeding the dismissed Omar Al-Karwi.
The dismissal decision came after political action to remove Al-Kroui from his position, which he assumed on August 1.
According to Shafaq News Agency correspondent, the dismissal came after disagreements that plagued the council over appointing new administrative unit directors.
The election of the Sovereignty Alliance's football team came after months of political wrangling, which led to an agreement that fell apart after about two months.
