The spokesman for the Popular Legal Movement, Muhammad Al-Sahaf, said today, Saturday, that the American side is adopting a deceptive approach regarding the withdrawal of its forces from Iraq.
Al-Sahaf told Al-Maalouma Agency, "There are more than five thousand American fighters with full equipment, mechanisms and gear present in military bases inside Iraq."
He added, "The American side is adopting a deceptive approach regarding the withdrawal of its forces from Iraq and is trying to evade any agreement in order to serve its interests and ensure the security of the Zionist entity."
He pointed out that "America is trying in any way to ensure its continued presence in Iraq for a longer period in order to increase the number of its forces to monitor neighboring countries and control Iraqi airspace." End / 25 H
