Lebanon requests Iraqi observers to manage its air navigation

The Ministry of Transport revealed that Lebanese Air Navigation requested sending Iraqi air traffic controllers for the purpose of managing air traffic at Beirut Airport and training Lebanese air traffic controllers.
A statement from the Ministry stated, “A delegation from Lebanese Air Navigation recently visited the headquarters of the General Company for Air Navigation Services (one of the formations of the Ministry of Transport) to set the initial frameworks for the cooperation mechanism between the two parties.” The company's general manager, Abbas Sabbar Al-Baydani, said: "We discussed with the Lebanese delegation their request to send Iraqi air traffic controllers for the purpose of managing air traffic at Beirut Airport," stressing "the company's readiness to cooperate and meet the Lebanese side's request."
The statement added, "Iraqi air navigation services are witnessing remarkable development in light of the continued support of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, for this important and vital formation."
