    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

The Ministry of Water Resources confirmed that Iraq will see higher amounts of rain than its normal rates, noting that these amounts will contribute to sheltering dams and natural storage lakes.[/rtl]
[rtl]Ministry spokesman, Khaled Shamal, said in a press interview, “Forecasts indicate that the current year will be very rainy.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The amounts of water will be more than their normal levels, which will lead to a rise in the water levels of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the Ministry is working to strengthen the agricultural plan for the winter season by storing the largest amount of rainfall."[/rtl]
[rtl]Iraq is suffering from a severe drought crisis affecting the Tigris and Iraq rivers, after a scarcity that lasted for 3 years and a shortage of water releases from neighboring countries.[/rtl]
