The Ministry of Construction and Housing confirmed that the completion period for the new residential cities will range between 3 to 5 years, while indicating that it is not concerned with the issue of converting agricultural lands to residential ones.
Ministry spokesman Nabil Al-Saffar said: “We have referred 4 residential cities to companies,” indicating that “the residential city in Fallujah has not completed its requirements.”
He added, "The experience of residential cities is happening for the first time," noting that "the completion of residential cities will range between 3-5 years."
Al-Saffar pointed out that “new segments will be included in the distribution of residential lands,” explaining at the same time that “the Ministry of Construction is not concerned with the issue of converting agricultural lands to residential.”
