    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    Today, Friday (October 20, 2023), the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee confirmed the government’s real endeavor to convert burned energy into clean energy, while highlighting the importance of this step. 
    Committee member Ali Shaddad told "Baghdad Today", "The current Iraqi government is working in a way that is different from previous governments, in order to develop the oil file in Iraq due to its importance, especially since Iraq depends mainly on oil to finance and support its budget."
    Shaddad explained, "This has many benefits, including enhancing production and supporting investment projects, as well as increasing crude oil production, and many others," stressing that "all of these things will create many job opportunities in the oil sector."
    On (September 19, 2023), Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani expressed to German Chancellor Olaf, during his meeting on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, that he expressed “Iraq’s desire to develop cooperation in the field of clean and renewable energy,” according to a statement from his office.     Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, confirmed on (October 12, 2023) Iraq’s endeavor to convert burned energy into clean energy to enhance production in the country.
    This came in a statement made by the minister after his participation in the sixth session of the Russian Energy Week REW Forum, where he stressed that Iraq seeks to identify important paths for investing in renewable energy, and converting burned energy into clean energy, to enhance national production by increasing and supporting investment projects, in addition to Sustain and increase crude oil production.
