    {Politics: Al-Furat News} Germany informed Iraq that the Palestinian crisis in the Gaza Strip "will end soon."
    A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued today, Monday, which {Al-Furat News} received a copy of, said: “The Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Ulum, met yesterday with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Christiana Moman, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, and during the meeting, discussions took place.” Strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, expanding the horizon of cooperation in various fields, and discussing topics of common interest.”
    According to the statement, Bahr Al-Ulum also touched on “the tragic conditions ongoing due to the war in occupied Palestine, and the genocide to which defenseless civilians are exposed and the comprehensive destruction of residential neighborhoods and hospitals in Gaza,” stressing that “the international community must deal seriously to end the Palestinian crisis, because Its impact will affect the entire Middle East region.”
    For her part, the German ambassador expressed, according to the statement, "her optimism that the crisis is temporary and will end soon. She also thanked the Iraqi government for providing adequate protection for the German embassy in Baghdad and its staff."
