{Local: Al-Furat News} The head of the Social Welfare Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, announced the referral of transgressing members to military courts, while revealing the referral of 21 networks that impersonated the researcher.
A useful summary of important news can be found on the Al-Furat News channel on Telegram. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Al-Mousawi said: For the program {Free Speech} broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel this evening, it said: “Poverty is multi-dimensional, social, economic and educational. We are working to reduce poverty, and the poverty rate in Iraq ranges between 21 to 23% due to the repercussions of the high dollar exchange rate.”
He pointed out, "Transgressing members of the Defense and Interior Ministry have been referred to military courts and the Internal Security Forces. We are working on issuing new classes for those covered by protection salaries, and the number of applicants is very large."
Al-Moussawi added, “The poverty rates between one governorate and another and the Ministry of Planning determine these rates, and these rates remain estimates, and all rates are estimates due to the failure to conduct the relevant statistics,” adding, “Any citizen whose income is less than 105 thousand dinars is considered poor,” noting, “ The grant starts from 105 thousand dinars to 325 thousand dinars.”
He continued, "Half a million women are covered by social assistance, and more than 15,000 orphan children are included in the assistance," indicating that "an unmarried woman over 35 years of age is included, as is the wife of a prisoner, and they are two categories covered by social assistance."
Al-Moussawi added, “The category currently covered by social protection and those included in the protection network has reached 7 million and 350 thousand,” noting that “190,000 employees, retirees, and daily wage earners have been excluded from social assistance salaries and 165 billion dinars have been recovered.”
He stated, “The amounts of social protection next year will reach 5 trillion dinars, and the Protection Authority is responsible for 14 sections, including care for people with disabilities,” pointing out that “the disabled deserve a salary, and their transactions are delayed at the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities due to the lack of specialized medical committees and more than 400,000.” Disabled people applied for assistance.”
Al-Moussawi stressed, “The disability rate must be 75% for the disabled person to receive the protection stipend, and children with first-degree diabetes deserve the protection stipend and a full-time assistant,” calling boycotting the data “an important step in the social research process for applicants for protection, as we have 25,000 receiving the protection stipend.” They are still under scrutiny.”
He continued by saying, “The Protection Agency searches all beneficiary families annually, but the number of social researchers does not exceed a thousand and a half, which is not enough to search for more than two million families, and the Retirement and Social Security Department is responsible for the data of workers in the private sector,” recalling, “One citizen complained about cutting off the aid, and it turned out that He has 6 cars.
Al-Moussawi said, “This year we discovered 500 forged applications for aid, as well as more than 10,000 forged medical reports to obtain a grant for people with disabilities, and we coordinated with the Integrity Commission to punish those responsible.”
We also handed over 21 networks impersonating social researchers to National Security. The social researchers wear special uniforms and carry official identification cards, and all transactions are free of fees and amounts. Whoever demands money is a fraudster, and some fraudsters handed over MasterCard cards to needy families.”
Regarding the interventions, Al-Moussawi explained, “Any representative has no authority to interfere in the delivery of the protection salary, nor is it a blessing for anyone to include the subsidy, which is a government effort and an entitlement for the citizens.”
Al-Mousawi concluded by saying, "We have begun to take actual steps to implement the decision to include those entitled to social assistance through plots of land. We have also allocated 20% of the residential complexes to the subsidy network. We have an ambition to build residential complexes in coordination with the Central Bank, and the Minister is working to deduct the amounts from the subsidy for the benefit of the bank."
