Parliamentary Education: A defect hindered the payment of salaries to newly confirmed lecturers

The Parliamentary Education Committee attributed the delay in disbursing the salaries of newly confirmed lecturers for the month of October within the Baghdad Al-Rusafa Education Directorates to a financial defect, confirming that they will be disbursed retroactively if they are not disbursed during the current month.
Committee member Zaytoun Al-Dulaimi reported to Al-Sabah that a financial defect led to the non-payment of October salaries, indicating that the defect occurred due to the disbursement of differences related to some lecturers, in addition to the disbursement of two months’ salaries in one lump sum to others whose salaries were delayed for the past months of August and September, confirming the follow-up of the matter. With the Ministry of Finance to provide the required liquidity, especially since the salaries of the newly appointed employees are allocated and included in the 2023 budget allocations, however, the budget amounts allocated to each institution or department have not all reached the directorates, which requires issuing a letter with a financial allocation from the Ministry of Finance in order for the disbursement process to be completed from Without delay.
She indicated that if the aforementioned month’s salary is not released during this month, it will be paid retroactively, stressing that there is serious follow-up by members of the parliamentary committee to guarantee the rights of this segment that has provided its national and humanitarian duty over the years, free of charge and without any compensation. .
