The Ministry of Education reported that the regulatory procedures for the student scholarship database have reached their final stages.
The ministry’s official spokesman, Karim Al-Sayyed, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: The work and organization partnership regarding the student scholarship, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, will significantly reduce the dropout of students and students, noting that the two ministries have reached the final stages of preparing the database, and it is hoped to launch it. The grant will be granted after the final completion of the procedures, stressing the intensification of efforts to complete it as soon as possible.
He added that the Ministry is meticulous in preparing the database because the scholarship will be launched for the first time, which requires time to be more accurate, stressing the accuracy of the technical procedures for the names of students and students included in it in order to achieve transparency in its distribution among those entitled to it.
The federal government allocated the financial allocation of the student scholarship within the 2023 budget for children of families included in the salaries of the social protection network and those continuing their studies, at a rate of 30 thousand dinars for each student, and 50 thousand dinars for students in the middle and preparatory stages per month.
