On Friday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced the formation of a committee between the ministry and the Parliamentary Work Committee regarding the Retirement and Social Security Law.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by the “Al-Ma’louma” Agency, that “Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi, accompanied by the Chairman of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, attended a parliamentary session hosted by the Labor Committee and Civil Society Organizations in the House of Representatives.”
During the hosting, according to the statement, “the Ministry’s procedures regarding the Retirement and Social Security Law were discussed with regard to the instructions for implementing the law and the date of its entry into force, and the Ministry’s procedures regarding increasing the loan ceiling after amending the law supporting small income-generating projects, the funds allocated to them, the instructions issued regarding them, and the procedures for initiating granting them to beneficiaries.” ".
The statement quoted Al-Asadi as saying, “A joint committee was formed between the ministry and the parliamentary committee to announce the retirement and social security law after submitting offers from communications companies to support the law in advertising, promoting, educating, and introducing the privileges it contains to serve the private sector and its workers.”
During the meeting, Al-Asadi reviewed “the procedures of the Social Protection Authority in including other numbers of those entitled to social assistance through the meals launched by the Ministry, especially the numbers that were included in the districts and districts within the governorates in the poorest areas.” End 25/Y
