Shafaq News/ Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed, on Wednesday, his government’s rejection of any external party’s interference in Iraqi internal affairs, stressing the capabilities of the security forces to provide protection for diplomatic missions and the sites of international coalition advisors.

The Sudanese media office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that the latter received, this morning, the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Victoria Nuland, and her accompanying delegation, who congratulated the Iraqi government on the success of the provincial council elections.

The meeting witnessed a review of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in the areas of joint cooperation and the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.

Al-Sudani stressed the importance of working to enhance the stability of the region, pointing to the responsibility of the Iraqi government in maintaining security on its territory, and its seriousness in imposing security and stability and protecting diplomatic missions and embassies, and the locations of international coalition advisors working in Iraq.

Al-Sudani stressed the government's refusal to take any action on Iraqi territory by any external party.

The Prime Minister also touched on the events in Gaza and the heinous crimes committed against the Palestinians, stressing that the international community has lost much of its credibility because of its positions towards what is happening in Gaza.

For her part, the US Assistant Secretary of State referred to the cooperative relations between the two countries, and the keenness to maintain them in several areas, explaining that the United States is moving to end military operations in Gaza as soon as possible, and to work towards a political path that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
