    [size=45]Yesterday, Monday, the Ministry of Transport revealed the latest developments in work on the Al-Faw Grand Port project, while indicating that work is progressing towards advanced steps. The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transport, Shatha Radhi, said in an interview with Al Mada:[/size]
    [size=45]“Work is continuing on the Al-Faw port project, and the pace of work has begun to escalate since the government of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani took over its duties.” She added, “The completion rates have reached more than 80% in the five berths project within Al-Faw Port,” indicating that “the second phase of the five berths project will be in the second half of this year.”[/size]
    [size=45]Regarding the road project linking the port of Al-Faw and the port of Umm Qasr, which is estimated to be 62 square kilometers long, Radhi explained that “the work of laying the asphalt layer has begun,” stressing that “this road is one of the basic pillars of the large Al-Faw port project.” A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transport indicated, “The first phase of the Al-Faw Grand Port project will end in the middle of next year, 2025.” Yesterday, Monday, the Ministry of Transport announced the completion of Berth No. (2) in the Grand Al-Faw Port. The Ministry’s media office stated in a statement received by Al-Mada that “according to the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, and in the first hours of the new year, the completion of Pier No. (2) was announced,” indicating that “the percentage of work completion exceeded (85%) in the sidewalks project.” Five, which is a higher percentage than what was planned in the project.”[/size]
