    Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Ministry of Transport revealed the arrival of a Turkish technical delegation to Basra, to complete the technical development road requirements and review the projects of the Grand Al-Faw Port.
    The Turkish delegation includes a number of general directors in the Turkish Ministry of Communications and Infrastructure, to learn about the reality of work in the development road project and the Grand Al-Faw Port projects, in the presence of the Italian consulting company.
    The Director General of Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, and the Director General of Railways, Younis Khaled Jawad Al-Kaabi, discussed with the Turkish delegation the technical development road issues, where the two sides agreed to hold a regular monthly meeting to legislate the development road procedures and the mechanism for its implementation, stressing that the delegation undertook a reconnaissance tour of the submerged tunnel project and the road. The highway linking Al-Faw port to the development road.
    Al-Fartusi reviewed the details of the work on the submerged tunnel and the five berths of the port, the completion rates, and the Ministry of Transport’s vision regarding the operating mechanism of Al-Faw Port.
    The Turkish delegation praised the implementation work on Al-Faw Port projects, stressing that it is a global project that serves Iraq, the countries of the region and the world.
    It is noteworthy that the visit of the Turkish delegation was agreed upon during the recent visit of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibes, to Ankara, during which a number of technical matters related to the development road project were agreed upon.
