Hussein Al-Saadi:
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced the resumption of work and the implementation of the Bismayah project, and while he stressed maintaining the level of services provided to residents of the city, he directed the development of a plan to complete the repair operations with the work of Iraqi Airlines.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement: “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani sponsored the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Investment Authority and the Korean Hanwha Company to resume work in the residential city of Bismaya, during his visit to the city yesterday morning, Monday,” noting that “the visit witnessed a meeting with... A group of residents of the city of Bismayah, where Al-Sudani listened to their comments regarding the services provided and directed them to be followed up. He also distributed a number of bonds for the sale of housing units among the new buyers.”
Al-Sudani stressed, during the signing ceremony, that “his visit to the city of Bismayah comes within the framework of the government’s seriousness in solving the housing problem in general, and the special interest in this promising and important housing project in solving this problem that our society suffers from,” noting that “the Council of Ministers approved in November Last year, we continued to complete 30,000 housing units in Bismaya, and authorized the Investment Authority to search for funding sources in order to complete another 70,000 housing units.”
He described “the signing of the memorandum of understanding to resume work as an important step, and a message expressing the seriousness of both parties to resume work and implement the project,” stressing “the government’s commitment to support all efforts.” In order to implement this project, which is the only project that targets middle-income people.”
He expressed his appreciation for “the Korean Hanwha Company, which worked in Iraq during the years of sectarian violence and instability, which calls on us to support it and overcome all obstacles facing it,” stressing “the possibility of the company being a party to other projects to be convinced of its capabilities and seriousness in work.”
He praised “the efforts of the Korean Hanwha Company and its capabilities that have emerged in implementing this project with specifications and quality, and according to modern plans that meet all the needs of the citizen,” noting that “the company has the opportunity to be present in Iraq for other residential projects by virtue of its presence on the ground at the level of factories and laboratories.”
He pointed out that “the company has had a work history that has extended since 2012, during which it has gained experience in dealing with state institutions and familiarizing itself with the laws, an opportunity not available to the rest of the companies that have not yet entered the Iraqi market,” explaining that “the government has developed plans for many projects at the level of Residential cities in Baghdad and the governorates.
He continued, "This plan and methodology are considered a goal of solving the housing problem, generating job opportunities, and planning to establish factories that supply residential projects with construction materials," adding, "We met yesterday with businessmen, companies, and the Iraqi private sector to encourage them and overcome all obstacles that hinder the implementation of construction materials factories and laboratories."
He expressed his hope that “these factories will exist and be operational as soon as possible to cover the local market’s need for construction materials,” noting that “the Bismayah city project, which was completed with approximately 20,000 units occupied by citizens, is the government’s first focus, and we will support the National Authority.” To invest in securing all the requirements for resuming work therein.”
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement: Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired a meeting devoted to reviewing the work of Iraqi Airways and developing its performance. During the meeting, the work related to repairing and maintaining aircraft was reviewed, where he directed to develop a plan to complete operations. The reform will take a period not to exceed this year. The meeting also touched on increasing airline crews and training them. In order to provide the best services to passengers, and in a way that befits the reputation of Iraqi Airways.
He added that the meeting discussed reviewing the schedules for automating Iraqi Airlines, which is carried out by the company (Odoo), which specializes in this field, and discussing the airline company’s steps in the field of selling tickets electronically, and confirming the continuation of work on this issue, and facilitating reservations through phones.
He continued, and the meeting reviewed the work of airlines to meet the requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), provided that this topic is completed within a time limit not exceeding June of the current year. It also witnessed discussion of the maturation of the idea of establishing a subsidiary airline company, through studying the best models by Aviation systems consultant.
The meeting concluded, according to the statement, by holding periodic meetings to review; All directions related to the work and development of fonts are achieved.[/size]
